A core aspect of our comprehensive educational programme is providing students with the opportunity to learn additional skills and expand their horizons, with our on-site Environmental Centre.

The Environmental Centre itself is a calm environment, full of raised beds, potato beds, root vegetable patches, corn paths and more. There is also an additional woodcraft area, where students can learn carpentry skills through building a number of items; from wooden toolboxes to bird tables.

Alongside their continued education, the Environmental Centre has been designed to help students learn how to plant, manage, grow and harvest a wide range of fruit and vegetables from the seed.

 

The Centre comes complete with all the necessary gardening and farming tools, and our 2 large sheds and poly-tunnel allow all year round growing. We also invite students to take produce home, as complete our ‘grow your own’ program at home - in order to consolidate what they learn at the Centre.
